ABOUT KATIE
Katie Deutsch believes stories trigger innovation and lasting change. Stories enable connection, foster empathy and help us imagine what is possible. She helps create powerful stories that are vehicles of information, that act with kinetic force to make lives better.
With over 100 hours of Broadcast Television content under her belt, Katie is experienced in directing talent in front of the camera, supervising edit teams, creating engaging storylines, writing character arcs that use motivation and human foibles. She is an experienced On-Camera Interview Coach for both seasoned personalities and newly emerging talent.
Katie is currently managing her content clients through her company FalconHawk Productions, where over the last fifteen years, she has created a broad range of relationships with numerous production companies and networks, like ABC, Hulu, MTV, VH1, Paramount Networks, Food Network, Discovery, and The History Channel.
Katie looks for people whose life experiences can inspire, entertain and educate others. She has developed trusted relationships with people and created safe spaces where they can reflect and share without fear of judgment. Katie takes extra time with clients and on-air talent, to listen and ask questions, to tease out the nuances of the desired story. She has created cohesive narratives that marry technical information with humanity so that an audience feels entertained, enlightened, and ready to take on a new skill set.
With an ever changing world and approach to programming diversity, it's important to note that producing broadcast television isn't the only goal on Katie's mind. She also looks forward to developing messaging and content development for emerging tech companies, non-profit organizations, corporate philanthropy, government agencies, and health-forward brands.
Katie earned her Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, where she was awarded the high distinction of ‘Artist of the Year’ for her 2005 graduating class. She currently lives in Cape Elizabeth, Maine with her husband and two young daughters. She teaches Yoga and is inspired to live every day with honor, respect and creativity.
